I am a qualified therapist, working with individual adults, adolescents and children.
Since completing my Master’s in Psychological Therapies, I have been working in an Edinburgh and London-based private practice, as well as working in psychological and sociological academic research, and as a mental health support mentor for University students across the UK.
I strive to provide a safe, warm and welcoming space for my clients and I strongly believe in taking the time to build a trusting relationship with each person I work with. I am deeply honoured to be walking alongside my clients as we work on better understanding who they are, their experiences, and their objectives.
Whilst I primarily use a CBT approach with my clients, I also draw from other modalities as I believe this is the best way to meet each person’s individual and unique needs. These include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). I align with the solution-focused, goal-oriented perspective that CBT offers – however, I also recognise the importance of looking at past experiences and key attachment relationships and acknowledging the role they may play in shaping our mental health, and the way we see the world.
I have experience working with clients with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, low mood and depression, OCD, disordered eating, panic, phobias, low self-esteem, people pleasing, relationship problems, challenging family dynamics, anger, life transitions, and ASD/ADHD related challenges.
