I am a qualified therapist, working with individual adults, adolescents and children.

Since completing my Master’s in Psychological Therapies, I have been working in an Edinburgh and London-based private practice, as well as working in psychological and sociological academic research, and as a mental health support mentor for University students across the UK.

I strive to provide a safe, warm and welcoming space for my clients and I strongly believe in taking the time to build a trusting relationship with each person I work with. I am deeply honoured to be walking alongside my clients as we work on better understanding who they are, their experiences, and their objectives.

Whilst I primarily use a CBT approach with my clients, I also draw from other modalities as I believe this is the best way to meet each person’s individual and unique needs. These include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT).

I have experience working with clients with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, low mood and depression, OCD, disordered eating, panic, phobias, low self-esteem, people pleasing, relationship problems, challenging family dynamics, anger, life transitions, and ASD/ADHD related challenges.

BSc (Hons) Psychology – Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh

MSc Psychological Therapies – The University of Edinburgh

British Psychological Society – GmBPSs

British Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies (BABCP)

I have undertaken additional training in various areas, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), working with eating disorders. I am also qualified to conduct ADOS-2 and ADI-R as part of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessment, which gives me an increased understanding of autism and issues around navigating a neurotypical world as a neurodivergent person.

Alongside independent practice, I work in a private, multi-disciplinary mental health clinic based in Edinburgh and London, as well as working in research and as a teaching assistant at Queen Margaret University, and as a student mental health mentor.

I have professional liability insurance, extensive adult and child safeguarding training, I am part of the PVG Scheme (Protection of Vulnerable Groups), and I hold an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check. All this is to ensure I am able to safely work with children and adults. I abide by NICE, BPS and BABCP guidelines.
